Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a highly skilled Insurance Specialist to support corporate and project-related insurance activities across multiple business units in Doha, Qatar. You will manage insurance procurement, claims handling, policy administration, risk assessment, and compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or related discipline.
• Minimum 5–7 years of insurance experience in a specialized or technical function.
• GCC experience preferred.
• Professional qualifications such as CII, CILA, III or equivalent desirable.
• Strong knowledge of insurance procurement, claims management, underwriting processes and local markets.
• Experience with insurers, underwriters, brokers, claims managers and loss adjusters.
• Knowledge of insurance laws, regulations and compliance requirements.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP, is advantageous.
• Experience supporting lender-driven projects and associated insurance requirements.
• Proven experience in project insurance programs, reinsurance placements and complex commercial risks.
• Familiarity with construction, infrastructure, energy, or large-scale project insurance environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily insurance operations across all business units according to policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate coverage for assets, projects and operations.
• Manage annual renewals, policy amendments, and policy administration activities.
• Coordinate insurance claims reporting and settlements with insurers, brokers and loss adjusters.
• Prepare and maintain loss records, loss-ratio reports and performance analysis.
• Monitor underwriting requirements and ensure regulatory and standards compliance.
• Analyze insurance data and coverage effectiveness, identifying cost optimization opportunities.
• Support management of commercial and operational risks across projects and functions.
• Build and maintain relationships with insurance companies, brokers, underwriters and claims professionals.
• Review contracts, tender documents and project agreements for insurance obligations and compliance.
• Coordinate lender-driven project insurance obligations, including CTA, PPA, EPC, FA, CA and related agreements.
• Review and coordinate insurance schedules for contracts and project documentation.
• Maintain organized insurance records, documentation and reporting systems.
