Job summary

Mowasalat Qatar is seeking a Senior Insurance Specialist to oversee the company’s insurance portfolio, ensuring coverage, policy management, claims coordination, and cost efficiency in a compliant, risk-aware manner.

This role supports protecting assets, employees, and operations through risk assessment, renewal management, and ongoing improvement of insurance arrangements, with focus on thorough documentation and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in insurance administration and portfolio management.
• Professional qualifications in Insurance or Risk Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update records of insurance policies, including coverage details, premiums, limits, deductibles, insurers, and renewal dates.
• Coordinate administration of policies covering vehicles, property, liability, workers' compensation, cybersecurity, and other risks.
• Monitor policies for validity, documentation, and alignment with business requirements.
• Coordinate with departments to obtain information on assets, employees, activities, and exposure changes.
• Prepare recommendations on renewal strategies, coverage enhancements, and cost optimization.
• Coordinate periodic policy reviews and timely renewals to ensure uninterrupted coverage.
• Review terms, limits, deductibles, exclusions, and premiums to identify improvements.
• Obtain and analyse quotations and renewal proposals from insurers/brokers.
• Assess changes and requirements prior to renewals.
• Prepare technical assessments and cost-benefit analyses to support decisions.
• Coordinate with insurers, brokers, and claim administrators on claims.
• Ensure claims are supported by documentation and submitted within timelines.
• Monitor claim progress, settlements, recoveries, and correspondence.
• Escalate delayed or disputed claims and support resolution.
• Maintain records to support governance, compliance, and audits.
