Job summary

Vistas Global in Doha, Qatar, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead assigned capital projects from inception through construction, commissioning and handover. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, safely and in accordance with project requirements and standards, coordinating with EPC contractors and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; master’s preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant oil & gas experience.
• Experience leading projects through lifecycle from concept to closeout.
• Experience in EPC contractor management and technical bid evaluation.
• Knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, HAZOP/LOPA and multidisciplinary coordination.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to lead assigned capital projects from inception through construction, commissioning and handover. The role will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, safely and in accordance with project requirements and standards.

What we're looking for

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Master’s Degree in Engineering is preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Petrochemicals industry experience is preferred.
• Experience leading projects through Concept, Feasibility, FEED, Detail Engineering, EPC, Construction, Commissioning and Closeout.
• Engineering/EPC contractor management and technical bid evaluation experience.
• Design review, FAT, SAT, HAZOP/LOPA and multidisciplinary engineering coordination experience.
• Procurement, long-lead item and contractual/technical compliance experience.
• Construction, commissioning, startup and PSSR experience in an industrial plant.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, RLIC and company safety standards.
• Project risk, MOC, contractor claims and project economic experience.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
• Full project lifecycle management from Concept/Feasibility/FEED through Engineering, EPC, Construction, Commissioning and Closeout.
• Project Execution Plans, scope, deliverables, schedules and milestones.
• Engineering/EPC contractor prequalification, bid evaluation, kick-offs and performance management.
• Multidisciplinary design reviews including PFDs, P&IDs, plot plans, 3D models and HAZOP/LOPA.
• Procurement coordination and long-lead item management.
• Risk management, Management of Change, deviations, claims and project economics.
• Construction inspections, technical issue resolution, as-built documentation and data books.
• Commissioning, startup, PSSR, acceptance and warranty closure.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, reporting, safety and quality focus.
