Job summary

CONFIDENTIAL is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily output for binding, box making and packing lines in Doha.

You will drive automation, reduce waste, and improve OEE while ensuring quality and safety. The role requires managing a large shift team, coordinating with planning, and implementing lean processes across a high-output manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in printing & packaging.
• 3-4+ years as Production Manager or Production Head.
• Experience leading 20+ operators/technicians across shifts.
• Strong ERP/MRP, production planning, cost control.

Responsibilities

• Production Oversight: Plan and manage daily output for binding, box making, and packing lines.
• Automation & Improvement: Identify manual steps and implement solutions to automate processes, reduce waste, and increase OEE.
• Quality Control: Ensure all products meet quality standards. Minimize defects and rework.
• Machine Management: Oversee setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of machines.
• Team Leadership: Lead, train, and schedule production staff across shifts; foster safety and 5S.
• Planning: Coordinate with sales/planning to meet deadlines and control production costs.
• Problem Solving: Be first contact for breakdowns and bottlenecks.

Job description

• Automation & Improvement: Identify manual steps and implement solutions to automate processes, reduce waste, and increase OEE
• Quality Control: Ensure all hard cover and rigid box products meet quality standards. Minimize defects and rework
• Machine Management: Oversee setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hard cover machines, box forming machines, and packing equipment
• Team Leadership: Lead, train, and schedule production staff and technicians. Foster safety, 5S, and accountability
• Planning: Coordinate with sales/planning to meet deadlines, manage capacity, and control production costs
• Problem Solving: Be the first point of contact for breakdowns, bottlenecks, and urgent client jobs

Desired Candidate Profile

• Experience: Minimum 10 years in printing & packaging, with 3-4+ years as Production Manager or Production Head
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with hard cover binding machines, rigid box making machines, and automated packing technology
• Mindset: Proven track record of implementing automation and lean processes to reduce manual work
• Leadership: Experience managing 20+ operators/technicians across shifts
• Education: Diploma/Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, Printing Technology, or related field preferred
• Skills: Strong in ERP/MRP, production planning, cost control. Good English communication. Arabic is a plus
