Job description

To lead production operations ensuring that factory targets are met. Must be able to enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, legality, quality and food safety. Adopting and leading a culture of can do, quality and consistency first following agreed standards, yields and BoM’s.

Corporate Strategy:

• Developing plans for the factory’s progress, production, improvement and general growth.
• Scheduling building and equipment maintenance as needed, regularly walking the factory floor to monitor the performance of factory staff, and ensuring that all production orders are completed in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards mandate by state and further policies and regulations.

Leadership:

• Set and monitor the performance of the factory against standards and targets in areas such as manufacturing operating efficiency, quality, regular reporting, cost control, administration efficiency, legal compliance, inventory control and finished goods distribution.

Organization Structure:

• Determine manpower’s potential in the factory which contributes defined lines of authority and channels for the effective flow of information for organized and efficient operation.

Job Description:

• Develop and implement innovative strategies to streamline factory operations.
• Screen, recruit, and train new factory workers.
• Collaborate with QC Manager to establish and execute quality control processes.
• Ensure that factory machinery is in good working order.
• Analyze production data to identify and resolve any production issues.

Job Responsibilities:

• Effective liaison with and support and assistance to the whole organization.
• Utilize appropriate systems to manage factory production, functions, analysis and documentation.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing all safety regulations.
• Monitor production output and schedule, making necessary adjustments to ensure targets are met while maximizing efficiency.
• Resolve issues and problems that arise in the factory, such as machinery breakdowns or worker absenteeism.
• Supervise and motivate factory team leading and supervisory staff, delegating tasks and setting deadlines as needed.

Change Management:

• Implement ways and strategic plans to improve the operation on delivering a quality and standard flow of service.
• Creating a systematic approach to change management and supporting procedures that fall under the scope of change management.

Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures:

• Overseeing the implementation of new technologies or processes in order to improve efficiency in collaboration with General Manager.

Management Reporting:

• Prepare reports for GM factory operation, achievements, initiatives and agreed milestones.

Resources management:

• Responsible for managing manufacturing processes following production goals.
• Develop production schedules and allocating resources for its maximum usage.
• Ensuring safety and compliance with environmental guidelines to avoid unnecessary penalties.

Related Assignments:

• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

Professional Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent from a reputable university.
• MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification in Business Administration from a reputable university.

Minimum Experience:

• 12 years of relevant experience in trading industry, with at least 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
• Experience in GCC.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability:

• Excellent knowledge of Meat products processing, frozen and chilled.
• Excellent leadership especially managing and directing production and planning teams.
• Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several large- scale projects.
• Extensive skill handling personnel from a multi-cultural work environment.
• Ability to work with key stakeholders, senior management, management team and external partners/advisors through collaboration & teamwork in a non-hierarchical relationship framework.
