Job summary

Aquanav in Al-Khor, Qatar is hiring an experienced Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team. You will prepare a variety of desserts, pastries and baked goods, manage inventory and contribute to menu development.

With a culinary degree preferred and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, you will lead pastry production, train junior staff, and ensure high food safety standards while delivering creative desserts that fit our concept.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience as Pastry Chef
• Culinary degree or certification preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
• Ability to create new and innovative dessert recipes
• Experience with managing inventory and ordering supplies
• Excellent time management skills
• Food safety certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods according to the menu and customer requests
• Create new dessert recipes aligning with the restaurant's concept and customer preferences
• Manage inventory and order supplies to ensure efficient operation of the pastry kitchen
• Maintain high food safety standards at all times
• Train new staff on pastry techniques and recipes as needed
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service of pastries during busy periods
• Keep track of daily production records for pastries prepared
• Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate into menu development
