Job summary

Mekdam Holding Group in Qatar seeks an OT SCADA Cybersecurity Engineer with 6–10 years of SCADA/ICS security experience to lead defense of SCADA networks, HMIs, RTUs, and PLCs in industrial environments such as Oil & Gas or petrochemical facilities.

You will collaborate with automation engineers, SCADA architects, and industrial IT teams to harden devices, secure protocols, monitor threats, perform vulnerability assessments, and drive patching, backups, and incident response according to IEC

Qualifications

6–10 years of professional experience in SCADA security and ICS within Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors.
Bachelor’s degree in Automation & Control Systems or related discipline.
Strong understanding of SCADA architectures, HMIs, PLCs, and RTUs.
Experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-104, OPC UA).
Familiarity with IEC 62443 and NIST SP 800-82 standards and security monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

Design and secure SCADA network infrastructures and control room environments.
Harden HMIs, RTUs, and PLCs against cyber threats.
Configure secure industrial protocols, VPNs, and encrypted links across SCADA nodes.
Monitor SCADA telemetry, alarms, and historian databases for anomalies.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and security testing for SCADA software and field devices.
Collaborate with SCADA programmers and plant operators during system updates.
Implement backups and disaster recovery procedures for SCADA master stations.
Maintain SCADA diagrams, hardening checklists, and incident runbooks.
Ensure compliance with IEC 62443 and NIST guidelines and safety regulations.
Provide Tier-2/3 support for SCADA security incidents.
