Detailed Job Description:

As an OT ICS Cybersecurity Engineer at Mekdam Holding Group in Qatar, you will take full ownership of operational technology cybersecurity defense, industrial control system vulnerability management, and OT network segmentation. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass securing DCS and SIS platforms, deploying industrial firewalls, monitoring SCADA telemetry for security anomalies, conducting OT risk assessments, and executing incident response playbooks tailored for petrochemical plants. You will collaborate with cross-functional industrial engineering squads to implement security patches, configure industrial intrusion detection systems (IDS), and ensure strict adherence to oil and gas cybersecurity regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain robust cybersecurity defenses across Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
• Secure and harden Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and SCADA network architectures.
• Deploy and manage industrial firewalls, network segmentation zones, and conduits in accordance with IEC 62443 standards.
• Monitor OT network traffic, analyze security telemetry, and investigate industrial intrusion alerts and anomalies.
• Conduct comprehensive OT vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and security audits across petrochemical and oil & gas facilities.
• Collaborate proactively with plant automation engineers, instrumentation specialists, and IT security teams during scheduled maintenance windows.
• Execute incident response containment and forensic investigations tailored for industrial control environments.
• Maintain comprehensive asset inventories, network topology diagrams, and OT cybersecurity documentation.
• Ensure strict compliance with corporate security policies, industrial automation standards, and national regulatory mandates.
• Provide tier-2 and tier-3 technical escalation support for complex OT security incidents and system anomalies.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation & Control Systems, Industrial Control Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 to 10 years of relevant professional working experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity, preferably within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong technical proficiency and hands-on operational mastery of DCS, SIS, SCADA, and Industrial Control Systems security.
