Job summary

Mekdam Holding Group in Qatar is seeking an experienced OT Control Systems Cybersecurity Engineer (6–10 years) to join our client engagement team on a full-time basis. You will design secure control logic, harden SIS and BPCS networks, and configure industrial switches, supporting FAT/SAT with cybersecurity verification.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering, hands-on PLC/DCS/SIS experience, and familiarity with IEC 61508 and IEC 62443 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation & Control Systems or a related discipline.
• 6–10 years of professional experience in control systems engineering and OT cybersecurity in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors.
• Hands-on mastery of PLC, DCS, SIS and industrial networking hardware.
• Experience integrating cybersecurity controls into industrial control system lifecycles (FAT/SAT).

Responsibilities

• Design and secure control system networks, industrial switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Enforce BPCS-SIS isolation and cybersecurity boundaries.
• Audit PLC/DCS/RTU configurations and firmware for security flaws.
• Support FAT and SAT with rigorous cybersecurity verification.
• Configure secure industrial wireless networks and fieldbus security.
• Collaborate with lead control systems engineers, instrumentation specialists, and vendors.
• Implement secure backup and recovery for control software and project files.
• Maintain control system inventories, firmware version logs and topology schematics.
• Ensure compliance with IEC 61508 and IEC 62443 standards.
• Provide Tier-2 and Tier-3 escalation support for security issues.
