On‑Site IT Support Engineer — Qatar

Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a self-driven IT On-Site Support Engineer to be the local IT presence in Qatar. You will look after the Jaidah Square office in Doha and project offices around the country, acting as the single point of contact for IT in Qatar and handling deskside support, onboarding and meeting-room setup.

This hands-on role requires proactive troubleshooting, collaboration with project managers and office leaders, and adherence to ITIL-based processes.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on IT support experience in an enterprise environment, ideally deskside or on-site support.

Responsibilities

• Provide level 1.5 and level 2 support in person, remotely and by phone for desktops, laptops, mobiles, peripherals, Windows, Microsoft 365 and networks.
• Resolve incidents and requests within agreed service levels; escalate with full context when needed.
• Give priority support to senior leaders and critical project users.
• Support Qatar project offices through visits and on-demand call-outs; set up new offices and decommission them when closed.
• Troubleshoot site connectivity and liaise with local internet providers and vendors.
• Image, deploy, refresh and decommission devices to WSP standards; deliver IT inductions.
• Manage stock in CMDB; reconcile physical stock and assist with audits.
• Support meeting rooms, AV equipment, Teams Rooms, printers and shared office equipment; perform health checks.
• Act as local IT contact for office management, project teams, procurement and HR; translate business needs into IT requests.
• Record work in ServiceNow; apply ITIL-based processes and assist with security controls and privileged access requests.
• Be the on-site hands and eyes for infrastructure and network teams during changes and incidents.
