Job summary

North Oil Company Qatar is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to oversee offshore/mechanical projects from pre-design to detailed execution, ensuring adherence to NOC/HSE standards and schedules.

You will collaborate with disciplines, oversee equipment selection, prepare data sheets and specifications, and lead reviews with contractors, aiming for safe, compliant, and cost-effective delivery across all project stages.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and working towards professional/chartered engineer status.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in O&G with at least 5 years offshore experience.
• Fluent in English with good interpersonal & communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks assigned by the Mechanical Lead with prioritization.
• Ensure adherence to NOC rules, specs, procedures in task execution.
• Interface with Process, Piping, Instrumentation, and Procurement disciplines.
• Contribute to mechanical design reviews, equipment selection, and FAT with vendors.
