Job summary

Madre integrated Engineering - Qatar, Doha seeks an experienced mechanical engineer for rotating equipment health surveillance and reliability analysis in an oil and gas setting. The role supports operations, safety/risks, and commissioning through FAT/SAT, with a 24–36 month assignment and offshore exposure preferred. Mentoring junior staff is included.

The position offers a day-rate USD plus allowances and a demanding 10-hour/6-day work schedule in Doha, Qatar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6 years' oil & gas experience.
• Offshore experience preferred.
• Work schedule: 10 Hours / 6 Days.
• 12–36 month duration with possible extension.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a single discipline and to multi-disciplinary tasks with independence.
• Perform periodic health surveillance of critical rotating equipment and report deviations.
• Provide technical information to other disciplines and stakeholders.
• Assist operations/maintenance in decisions during unplanned shutdowns.
• Study chronic rotating equipment reliability issues and propose feasible options.
• Propose and review equipment/system changes for reliability/operational enhancements.
• Contribute to RCFA, risk assessments, and HAZOP to identify/mitigate risks.
• Support machinery FAT, SAT, commissioning, start-up, and deviations.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and national developees.

Job description

Industry Oil and Gas Engineering and Energy Projects

• Contribute extensively to a single discipline and to multi-disciplinary tasks and assignments within the area of specialization with a high degree of independence
• Perform periodic health assessment "surveillance" of critical rotating equipment and report to stakeholders the analysis and recommendations for the deviations.
• Provide technical information and expertise to other disciplines, engineering and non-engineering, as per requirements.
• Assist operations and maintenance managers in making decisions for unplanned shutdowns due to machinery issues in terms of options, scope or duration optimisation.
• Study chronic rotating equipment reliability issues, analyse the causes and provide options/ recommendations for resolution with technical and economic feasibility.
• Propose solution /review equipment and/or system changes for reliability or operational enhancements and optimisation.
• Perform /contribute to RCFAs, Risk Assessments, and HAZOP to find cause and eliminate or mitigate the risks.
• Conduct specialized technical and operational investigations and evaluation of medium complexity tasks, providing recommendations on the most appropriate approach.
• Provide discipline support to projects by carrying out technical review of documents, analysing deviations and taking decisions.
• Complete projects by supporting machinery FAT, SAT, commissioning, start-up and evaluating any deviations.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and national developees to develop their capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6 years' experience in an oil and gas environment
• Attain/maintain/acquired competence in accordance with the technical competence framework requirements
• Compression project prefers candidates with Offshore experience
• Day Rate in USD Plus Allowance
