Job summary

QatarEnergy seeks an experienced mechanical technician to perform unsupervised installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of rotating and static equipment on offshore production platforms.

You will provide on-the-job training to national staff, direct technicians and contractors, and implement maintenance programs aligned with the department's quality policy. Reporting to the Offshore Mechanical Engineer, you will ensure safe, reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of rotating and static equipment in offshore petrochemical or petroleum industries.
• At least 3 years with compressors, turbines, power generators and mechanical seals.

Responsibilities

• Perform unsupervised installation, troubleshooting and maintenance, repair and testing of rotating and static mechanical equipment.
• Provide work directions to technicians and contractors and on-the-job training to Nationals.
• Execute mechanical maintenance programs aligned with the department quality policy for Offshore Production and Processing Facilities.
• Report to the Offshore Mechanical Engineer on technical matters.
