Job summary

Swan Global is seeking a Senior Toolpusher for an offshore drilling rig in Qatar. The role leads drilling operations on the rig and ensures compliance with QatarEnergy, ADNOC, and API/IADC standards, directing the drilling team to achieve operational excellence.

Rotation is 28/28 or 42/21 with reporting to the Rig Superintendent/OIM. A track record of 15+ years offshore drilling and the required certifications are essential for this leadership position.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• IWCF Well Control Level 4 (Supervisor).
• OPITO/BOSIET (with HUET).
• H2S/Confined Space certifications.
• 15+ years in offshore drilling (10+ as Toolpusher).
• Qatar/GCC experience preferred; familiarity with North Field rigs.
• Expertise in jackup/semisub operations (e.g., GDI, Shelf Drilling rigs).

Responsibilities

• Operational leadership: supervise drilling, casing, and well control activities to meet KPIs.
• Safety & compliance: enforce QHSE policies and lead emergency drills and investigations.
• Crew management: mentor rig crew, manage schedules, and resolve conflicts.
• Equipment & cost control: monitor equipment performance and optimize consumables usage.
• Reporting: daily drilling reports and KPI tracking.
