Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering is seeking an experienced NDT Technician with IRATA certification to perform non-destructive testing and inspection at height and in difficult-access areas, ensuring compliance with approved procedures, project specifications and HSE requirements.

You will inspect welds and components using UT, MT, PT and VT methods, set up and maintain NDT equipment, prepare reports, and coordinate with site teams to deliver safe, quality-ready results.

Qualifications

• ITI/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, NDT or related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant NDT inspection experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Offshore or Industrial projects.
• Valid IRATA Level 1/2/3 certification as required by project.
• NDT certifications in UT, MT/MPI, PT/DPI, VT; Level II preferred.
• Strong weld inspection knowledge and material defect criteria.
• Ability to read drawings and inspection procedures.
• Proficient English communication; team collaboration.
• Commitment to HSE and safe work practices.

We are looking for an experienced NDT Technician with validIRATA certification to perform non-destructive testing and inspectionactivities at height and in difficult-access areas. The technician will beresponsible for conducting NDT examinations, rope-access inspection activities,recording inspection findings, and ensuring all work is completed in accordancewith approved procedures, project specifications, and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Non-DestructiveTesting (NDT) activities using approved inspection methods such as UT, MT, PTand other applicable techniques.
• Carry out inspection andtesting activities using IRATA rope-access techniques in elevated, restricted,and difficult-to-access locations.
• Inspect welds, piping,structural steel, pressure equipment and other components for surface andinternal defects.
• Set up, calibrate, operateand maintain NDT equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
• Interpret inspectionresults and identify discontinuities, defects, corrosion or materialdeterioration.
• Prepare accurate NDTinspection reports, test records and supporting documentation.
• Follow approved Inspectionand Test Plans (ITPs), NDT procedures and client/project specifications.
• Verify work areas, anchorpoints, rope systems and access arrangements before starting rope-accessactivities.
• Conduct pre-use inspectionsof ropes, harnesses, connectors, fall-protection systems and related equipment.
• Maintain full compliancewith IRATA safety requirements, permit-to-work procedures and site HSEregulations.
• Participate in toolboxtalks, Job Safety Analysis/JHA and risk assessments before commencing work.
• Coordinate with NDTsupervisors, inspectors, QA/QC personnel, engineers and site teams.
• Immediately report unsafeconditions, equipment defects and inspection abnormalities.
• Maintain NDT equipment,rope-access equipment and inspection tools in safe working condition.

Requirements

• ITI / Diploma in MechanicalEngineering, Welding, NDT or a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years ofrelevant NDT inspection experience, preferably within Oil & Gas,Petrochemical, Refinery, Offshore or Industrial projects.
• Valid IRATA Level 1, Level2 or Level 3 certification, depending on project requirements.
• Valid NDT certification inrelevant methods such as:
  • Ultrasonic Testing – UT
  • Magnetic Particle Testing –MT/MPI
  • Liquid Penetrant Testing –PT/DPI
  • Visual Testing – VT
  • NDT Level II certificationin applicable inspection methods is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding ofweld inspection, corrosion detection, material defects and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to read engineeringdrawings, weld maps, isometric drawings and inspection procedures.
• Knowledge of rope-accessequipment, working-at-height requirements and rescue procedures.
• Physically fit andmedically capable of performing rope-access work at height.
• Strong awareness of HSErequirements and safe work practices.
• Ability to prepare clearinspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Good English communicationskills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
