Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Group Business Development Director - MENA to identify and secure major infrastructure investments across the Middle East and Africa from Doha, Qatar. You will lead deal origination, stakeholder engagement with governments and asset owners, and drive the investment process from sourcing through closing.

The role requires extensive experience in infrastructure deals, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams and sector governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Public Administration or related field.
• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Public Administration or related field.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead deal origination across MENA, Africa to build a robust pipeline of investment opportunities across ports, airports, power, oil & gas, refinery, water, real estate, mining and real estate sectors.
• Develop and execute a regional business development strategy to source opportunities through direct engagement with governments, asset owners, project developers and strategic partners.
• Establish and nurture strategic relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, asset owners and operators to secure direct access to investment opportunities.
• Prepare investment opportunity assessments and memoranda for the Investment Committee, detailing context, characteristics and proposed structure.
• Partner with sector verticals to design stage-gate processes for capital investment project maturation and bankability.
• Lead commercial negotiations of term sheets and framework agreements with governments and co-investment partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with co-investors and financial institutions to facilitate deal execution.
• Travel 20–30% to manage stakeholder relationships and identify opportunities.
• Mentor and lead the business development team to drive origination and evaluation activities.
