Pearse Partners Ltd in Doha is recruiting an Investment Associate for a Doha-based infrastructure private equity fund manager focused on transportation and energy investments across emerging markets.

The role involves originating and assessing opportunities, building valuation models, coordinating due diligence, structuring transactions, preparing materials for Investment Committees, and supporting fundraising and portfolio management with exposure to cross-border deals.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant post-undergraduate experience, ideally in private equity and/or investment banking.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• Strong financial acumen, commercial judgement, analytical capability and intellectual curiosity.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
• Excellent written and spoken English; French or another European language is advantageous.
• High attention to detail, strong communication skills, integrity and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Willingness to be based in Doha, Qatar, with frequent international travel.

Responsibilities

• Build, own and maintain detailed financial models, forecasts and valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow models.
• Research prospective investments, sectors, competitors and relevant market trends across assigned regions.
• Analyse comparable companies and transactions to support valuation and transaction pricing.
• Lead or coordinate defined due-diligence workstreams, including financial analysis, legal-document review, ESG and risk assessments, and compliance support.
• Identify, assess and communicate transaction risks, opportunities and key commercial considerations.
• Support capital structuring and assess potential investment-vehicle jurisdictions, including tax and investment-protection considerations.
• Prepare investment memoranda, Investment Committee presentations, investor materials and stakeholder updates.
• Participate in transaction, investor and team meetings; brief senior colleagues on key issues and follow up on decisions and action items.
• Contribute to fundraising, investor-relations and relationship-management activities involving existing and prospective limited partners and co-investors.
• Support the management, review and development of Analysts and interns.
