Job summary

Rosewood Doha is seeking a dedicated hospitality professional to deliver exceptional guest service and support daily hotel operations. You will greet guests, manage check-ins, balance cash, and respond to requests while upholding Rosewood standards and policies.

You will also maintain records, communicate with departments, and contribute to upselling targets, ensuring guest satisfaction and a seamless experience across all outlets.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
• Greet, check in, and settle guest accounts while ensuring all service standards are followed.
• Maintain accurate records of daily transactions and cash handling, including currency exchange and balancing a float.
• Handle guest requests, questions, and concerns effectively and promptly.
• Promote a professional team environment and follow department policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Perform any and all other tasks assigned by management.
• Upkeep highest standards of internal and external customer service.
• Ensure all emails are actioned and completed as per request.
• Act as a competent key person within the department, communicating and finding answers efficiently and professionally.
• Ensure clear, complete, and legible information is taken from the guest and forwarded to the appropriate Associate Department to satisfy the request or resolve issues.
• Resolve guest issues within your capabilities, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with Guests, Hotel Associates, Managers, and Directors.
• Complete all record sheets daily, filing them correctly.
• Note outstanding issues and communicate them to the senior Manager.
• Maintain the Rosewood handover log for the next shift, noting any pending services to ensure follow up and completion.
• Maintain complete knowledge of using hotel equipment (e.g., computer, photocopier).
• Communicate all issues to HOD, Manager, or Supervisor.
• Provide flexibility to cover shifts and responsibilities when required (Night Shift, Day Shift).
• Promote hotel facilities effectively, including opening hours on all Food and Beverage outlets.
• Be knowledgeable of the surrounding area and fully understand guest rooms, including views, amenities, features, and types.
• Be inquisitive, share knowledge, and foster self‑improvement.
• Keep up‑to‑date knowledge of internal and external products and services.
• Log all special request information into guest Opera profiles.
• Strive to achieve upselling targets and assist other departments.
• Maintain healthy inter‑departmental relationships.
• Carry out all reasonable requests by Senior Management without supervision, leading by example.
• Ensure brand standards are adhered to at all times to achieve a successful audit score.
• Collect preferences daily and enter them in guest profiles.
• Ask questions and share answers with all associates continuously.
