Job summary

Gray Mackenzie Engineering Services in Qatar is seeking a highly experienced Lead Engineer to head our Valve Testing & Calibration division and drive operational excellence and business growth.

You will lead valve testing and overhauling, ensure compliance with API, ASME, ISO, and client specs, manage workshop performance, and mentor a high-performance technical team to win new business in the Gulf region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• Minimum 15 years of Oil & Gas experience.
• Strong background in valve testing and workshop operations.
• Middle East experience preferred; Qatar experience preferred.

We are a growing third-party service provider in Qatar delivering equipment calibration (PRVs, PSVs, pressure gauges, transmitters, etc.) and valve testing, overhauling & maintenance services through our dedicated workshop facilities.

To support our expansion, we are seeking a highly experienced Lead Engineer to head our Valve Testing & Calibration division and drive operational excellence and business growth.

Role Summary

The selected candidate will lead all valve testing and overhauling operations, ensure compliance with international standards, manage workshop performance, and identify new business opportunities within Qatar's Oil & Gas sector.

This role requires strong technical authority combined with commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee testing and overhauling of Control valves, Mechanical valves, PRV's, NRV's PSV and all other Process plant related valves.
• Manage valve overhauling and workshop operations
• Ensure compliance with API, ASME, ISO, and client specifications
• Act as technical focal point for clients and operators
• Review RFQs and support proposal preparation
• Drive business growth in shutdowns, turnarounds, and long-term service contracts
• Build and mentor a high-performance technical team
