Job summary

Qatar Airways Group invites applications for a Junior Sous Chef at Qatar Duty Free Company in Doha. You will assist the Sous Chef in creating visually appealing dishes and ensure smooth operations by upholding food quality standards and following FSSC guidelines.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related role. Strong organizational and teamwork skills are essential for success in our busy kitchen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of job‑related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and production under the direction of the Sous Chef.
• Collaborate with the chefs to develop and test new dishes and drinks for the menu.
• Oversee kitchen staff, ensuring food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and sanitation standards.
• Work closely with Sous Chef to maintain food quality standards.
• Conduct inventory and manage leftovers to minimize wastage.
• Spot check culinary sections and ensure timely food production.
• Monitor stock movement and ordering to avoid excess stock.
• Compile all food orders and ensure delivery accuracy and records.
• Perform other duties as directed by Head of the Department
