Job summary

Confidential Company is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to support concept designs, space planning and detailed joinery drawings. You will create models and renderings with SketchUp or 3ds Max and review drawings for joinery compatibility.

The role requires 1–3 years of joinery/interior fit-out experience, with GCC/Qatar exposure as a plus. On-site work in Qatar with cross-team collaboration and documentation duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in joinery, interior fit-out, furniture manufacturing, or architectural design.
• GCC/Qatar experience is an advantage but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist in concept designs, space planning and interior layout proposals.
• Develop detailed joinery and fit-out shop drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare 3D models and renderings using SketchUp, 3ds Max or similar software.
• Review architectural/interior drawings for joinery compatibility.
• Coordinate with Estimation, Procurement, Production and Project teams.
• Conduct site visits and take measurements when required.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specs, company standards and local regulations.
• Maintain organized records of revisions and documentation.
• Support senior design team in coordination and design development.

Job description

Assist in preparing concept designs space planning and interior layout proposals Develop detailed joinery and fit-out shop drawings using AutoCAD or similar CAD software Prepare 3D models and renderings using SketchUp 3ds Max or other visualization software Review architectural and interior design drawings to ensure compatibility with joinery requirements Produce detailed drawings for custom furniture cabinetry wardrobes kitchens doors wall paneling ceilings counters and other joinery items Coordinate with the Estimation Procurement Production and Project teams regarding design requirements Assist in preparing material specifications and finish schedules Revise drawings based on client comments consultant feedback and site conditions Conduct site visits and take measurements when required Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications company standards and local regulations Maintain organized records of drawings revisions and project documentation Support the senior design team in project coordination and design development Stay updated on industry trends materials and design software.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Working knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar 3D modeling software.
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or other presentation software.
• Basic understanding of joinery manufacturing processes and fit-out construction.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, hardware, and furniture detailing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications:
