Job summary

Confidential Company in Qatar seeks an experienced joinery estimator/designer to accurately measure and interpret architectural drawings, produce detailed estimates and develop 3D models.

You will collaborate with clients, architects and project managers, sourcing costs and preparing competitive quotations, using AutoCAD, SketchUp and SolidWorks to ensure precise, manufacturable designs.

Qualifications

• Possession of a joinery/woodworking/design qualification or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of joinery estimating or design experience in construction or furniture.
• Proficiency with CAD software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and SolidWorks.
• Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, materials and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure and interpret architectural drawings to provide detailed joinery estimates.

Accurately measure and interpret architectural drawings blueprints and specifications to provide detailed joinery estimates

Collaborate closely with clients architects and project managers to understand project requirements and design aspirations

Develop detailed 3D models and technical drawings of joinery elements using CAD software ensuring precision and functionality

Source and analyze material costs labor and overheads to produce competitive and profitable quotations

Possession of a relevant qualification in Joinery, Woodworking, Design, or a related technical field.

A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in joinery estimating and/or design within the construction or furniture industry.

Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks) for design and modeling.

Strong understanding of joinery techniques, materials, and construction methods.
