Job summary

voco Doha Central is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to keep hotel technology running smoothly, supporting installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Based in Doha, you will work on pre-opening technology projects, maintain PMS/POS systems, networks, and IT infrastructure, and provide proactive service to colleagues and guests.

The ideal candidate has IT education, hospitality IT experience, strong problem-solving and communication

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration, preferably in hospitality.
• Knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with hospitality systems such as PMS and POS is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Providing first-line technical support for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
• Assisting with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of hotel IT infrastructure and equipment.
• Supporting hotel systems including PMS, POS, Wi-Fi, IPTV, telephony, and back-office applications.
• Monitoring system performance and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
• Maintaining user accounts, access permissions, and IT asset inventories.
• Assisting with system backups, software updates, and security procedures.
• Coordinating with vendors and service providers for equipment maintenance and support.
• Ensuring compliance with IHG technology standards, policies, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Maintaining accurate records of support requests, system configurations, and IT documentation.
• Supporting pre-opening technology projects and system implementations.

What we need from you

• Previous experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration role, preferably within hospitality.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with hospitality systems such as PMS and POS is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive and service-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
