Job summary

IHG's voco Doha Central is seeking an Assistant Information Technology Manager to lead daily IT operations, support pre-opening activities, and ensure secure, reliable technology for hotel guests and staff.

You will manage networks, servers, cybersecurity, and IT services while collaborating with departments to optimise systems and guest experiences in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum 4 years of IT experience, including supervisory or specialist role.
Knowledge of networking, server administration, cybersecurity, and IT support services.
Experience with hotel systems such as PMS, POS, and hospitality applications is advantageous.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operation of hotel technology systems, networks, hardware, and software.
Assist with pre-opening setup, installation, testing, and commissioning of IT infrastructure.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hotel colleagues and departments.
Monitor system performance and minimize downtime across hotel operations.
Support cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance with IT policies.
Manage user accounts, system access, and IT asset inventories.
Coordinate with vendors for system upgrades and maintenance.
Support hotel systems including PMS, POS, IPTV, telephony, Wi‑Fi and back-office apps.
Maintain accurate IT documentation and backup procedures.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different,but you’ll mostly be:

Managing the day-to-day operation of all hotel technology systems, networks, hardware, and software.

Assisting with the pre-opening setup, installation, testing, and commissioning of IT infrastructure and systems.

Providing technical support and troubleshooting for hotel colleagues and departments.

Monitoring system performance and ensuring minimal downtime across hotel operations.

Supporting cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance with corporate IT policies and standards.
