Job summary

Primepower seeks an HVAC professional in Doha to assist the HVAC senior service technician with installation, maintenance and repairs of HVAC systems. You will conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot malfunctions and ensure compliance with servicing schedules and client requirements.

Role requires good English, ability to work long hours in demanding conditions, and experience with York/Carrier/Trane chillers and DX systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience relevant to HVAC or related field.
• Experience with York, Carrier and Trane chillers and DX/Split units.
• Official HVAC trade qualification required.
• Ability to read electrical drawings.
• Good command of English, spoken and written.
• Able to work long hours in demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist HVAC senior service technician in installation, maintenance and repairs.

Key Relationships

Internal: HVAC Senior Service Technician, Service Admin, Service Manager, Operations Manager and Managing Director (if necessary)
External: Clients / customers, Site Project Managers (if necessary)

Accountabilities

• Assist HVAC senior service technician in equipment installation, maintenance and repairs
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions

Duties and Responsibilities

• Comply with Primepower servicing schedules and procedures
• Ensure all equipment is prepared for hire in compliance with Primepower Green Card procedure
• Ensure all work performed reports are approved by client (on site) and are legibly produced
• Ensure immediate response and minimal disruption to client s requirements
• Ensure good housekeeping of work area and service vehicle
• Maintain a minimum spares level in service vehicle as per procedures
• Effective troubleshooting to minimise downtime and unnecessary repair costs
• Customer satisfaction externally & internally
• Compliance to QHSE & ISO Standards and Procedures
• Compliance with 24 hour call out policy
• Any other duties considered essential for effective operations and service.

• Previous Experience with HVAC and Temperature controls (Carrier/LG/York etc.,) DX Packages Units
• Previous Experience with HVAC and Temperature controls (Carrier/LG/York etc.,) Air cooled chiller units
• Capable of basic administration and working to written procedure
• Ability to calculate cooling level based on site conditions

Qualifications

• College Degree in in a Mechanical or Electrical field or relevant qualifications
• Previous Experience with York, Carrier and Trane Chillers and DX and Split units

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience relevant role or related field
• Experience with HVAC controllers from York, Trane, and Carrier, including training certificates for courses attended in programming
• Must hold an official HVAC trade qualification from a recognized organization
• Previous experience with Chiller plant District cooling
• Previous experience in the rental industry
• Must possess experience in repairing piston compressors and screw compressors
