Job summary

Crew Life at Sea Ltd. is seeking a seasoned housekeeping supervisor to lead a team of room attendants, laundry attendants, and public area cleaners aboard our ships.

You will train, mentor, and supervise daily operations to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation. You will conduct inspections, manage supplies, coordinate with guest services and maintenance, and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in hospitality management preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a housekeeping supervisory role, hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to motivate and mentor team members.
• Fluent in English; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping activities for room attendants, laundry attendants, and public area cleaners.
• Train and mentor new team members to ensure required skills and knowledge.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure high cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment; place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with guest services and maintenance to address guest concerns or maintenance issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
• Assist with scheduling and assigning duties based on occupancy and special requests.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to promote a positive work environment.
• Participate in regular management meetings to discuss operations and improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team, including room attendants, laundry attendants, and public area cleaners
• Train and mentor new team members to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure they meet high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Monitor and maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed
• Collaborate with other departments, such as guest services and maintenance, to address any guest concerns or maintenance issues
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations
• Assist with scheduling and assigning duties to housekeeping team members, taking into account guest occupancy levels and special requests
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to promote a positive and productive work environment
• Participate in regular meetings with management to discuss housekeeping operations and make recommendations for improvements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a housekeeping supervisory role, preferably in a hospitality
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
