Job summary

QatarEnergy is seeking an experienced professional to lead day-to-day pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities for field projects in Qatar. You will ensure activities align with approved scope, QATARENERGY guidelines, engineering design, safety, and environmental standards.

The role requires overseeing contractors, providing authoritative guidance on method statements, and ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years' experience in design, construction, commissioning and start-up of oil & gas processing plants.
• Minimum eight years of Commissioning Coordinator/Team Leader experience.
• Offshore pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up project exposure in EPIC contracting environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities to align with approved scope, guidelines and specifications.
• Provide guidance to the contractor on all pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities to ensure compliance with methods, schedule and quality requirements.

Job description

Primary Purpose of the Job

Responsible and accountable for day-to-day pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities of Field Projects to ensure they are executed in accordance with approved Scope of Work, QATARENERGY guidelines, engineering design, safety, and environment standards & specifications.

Oversee and provide guidance/advice to contractor on all pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities to ensure that they are performed as per approved method statements complying with project schedule, quality and material requirements.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in design, construction, commissioning and start-up of oil & gas processing plants and preferably offshore with EPIC contracting companies of which a minimum eight years of Commissioning Coordinator/Team Leader.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
• Relevant technical expertise. Multi-discipline engineering exposure with trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualifications

• B.Sc. in an Engineering Discipline with extensive experience in offshore pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of oil and gas projects.
