Job summary

Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara is seeking an Arabic Chef de Cuisine to lead the Qatari and Gulf kitchen teams. You will drive menu development, quality, and plating while maintaining strict hygiene standards in a luxury resort setting.

You will oversee live grills, kebabs, seafood, and Levantine mezze with a fine-dining sensibility, guiding staff and ensuring VIP guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Diploma or professional qualification in Culinary Arts or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Arabic, Gulf or Qatari cuisine; supervisory/chef de cuisine experience.
• Strong knowledge of Qatari and Khaleeji cuisine; traditional ingredients, spices, methods, presentation.
• Experience in 5-star luxury/hotel dining; leadership, communication, team management.
• Arabic language skills preferred; English communication required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Arabic/Gulf cuisine section and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Prepare and oversee authentic Qatari and Gulf dishes, maintaining traditional flavours.
• Develop menus featuring Qatari, Khaleeji and wider Arabic cuisine.
• Ensure food quality, portion control, plating, and hygiene; HACCP compliance.
• Train and supervise culinary team; collaborate with Executive Chef on menu planning.
• Oversee kitchen mise en place, cooking procedures, and service standards.
