Minor Hotels is seeking an experienced Arabic Chef de Cuisine for Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara to lead the Arabic/Gulf kitchen. You will craft authentic Qatari and Khaleeji dishes with Levantine influences, while maintaining high standards of plating, hygiene and guest experience.

You will mentor a culinary team, manage operations during peak hours, and collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development and special events in a luxury resort setting.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or professional qualification in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in Arabic, Gulf or Qatari cuisine, with supervisory/chef de cuisine exposure.
• Strong knowledge of Qatari and Khaleeji cuisine, ingredients and presentation.
• Experience in a 5-star hotel, luxury resort or high-end Arabic restaurant preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisation and team-management skills.
• Arabic language skills preferred; English communication required.

Aufgaben

• Lead daily operations of the Arabic/Gulf cuisine section and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Prepare and oversee authentic Qatari and Gulf dishes with traditional flavors and modern execution.
• Develop menus featuring Qatari, Khaleeji and wider Arabic cuisine.
• Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, portions, presentation and prep.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning, seasonal promotions and events.
• Train, supervise and develop culinary team members while maintaining discipline.
• Monitor mise en place, cooking procedures and service standards.
• Ensure HACCP, food safety, hygiene and health and safety compliance.
• Control food costs, wastage, inventory, ordering and portion control.
