Job summary

Rosewood Doha is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Associate to uphold brand standards, support guest satisfaction, and mentor new team members. You will handle guest requests, manage lost property, and coordinate with Front Office and Engineering to ensure smooth operations across all housekeeping areas.

The role emphasizes teamwork, hospitality, and timely execution of duties in a luxury hotel environment in Doha. Active communication and adherence to brand practices are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all company minimum brand standards have been implemented.
• Work closely with other associates in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
• Contribute to the collective commitment of a unique guest experience - to create a sense of place.
• Support new members of the housekeeping team.
• Review guest requests prior to arrival and ensure that they are properly set up on a timely manner.
• Handle guests concerns and comments and find a proper resolution to ensure guest satisfaction.
• When on early shift, obtain the office and lost property keys from Security and prepare worksheets for the day (Room Attendants, Floor Porters and Floor Supervisors). Allocate check out rooms to early starters.
• Ensure all work assignments are distributed evenly and fairly.
• Ensure the white board in the housekeeping office is maintained with pertinent information.
• Issue Housekeeping associates with key cards ensuring the Key Log is correctly completed.
• Record all guests requests and ensure they are dealt with in a timely manner by the relevant Departments/Associates.
• All guest preferences to be recorded in Triton and Opera as appropriate.
• Follow up on guest complaints. Ensuring they are correctly documented, and all information passed on to Housekeeping Management.
• Prepare iPod chart for following day and ensure adequate coverage for all areas within the Housekeeping Department.
• Ensure priority rooms are given back within 1 hour and inform Front Office when ready or reason to re-allocate.
• Deal with Lost Property enquiries and send credit card authorization forms.
• Ensure that all operation books and documents related to housekeeping are kept up to date.
• Compile weekly agency timesheets and daily hours.
• Ensure adequate copies are available for all Associates e.g. worksheets, handovers, etc.
• Print copy of due out list at 12pm and co-ordinate with Floor Housekeepers and Front Office.
• Display hospitality skills when dealing with guests and associates.
• Ensure Lost Property cupboard is kept in a tidy fashion.
• Deal with associate s requests such as days off, Bank Holidays, vacation.
• Develop a Team spirit among the housekeeping department.
• Ensure room inspection program is being carried out efficiently.
• Ensure payroll system is kept updated. Schedule to be inputted weekly and report printed each Monday for approval by HOD.
• Report all disciplinary and grievance matters immediately to Director of Housekeeping/Assistant Director of Housekeeping.
• Liaise with Agencies to book or cancel associates and/or report sickness and absenteeism.
• Liaise with outside contractors i.e. window cleaner.
• Must respond to all guest requests in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Attend all departmental meetings if required.
• Attend training sessions both internal and external.
• Complete any special assignments directed by the Director of Housekeeping.
• Report all malfunctions on assigned floors to Engineering department. Follow up any reports taking further action if required.
• Ensure lost and found items are turned directly into Security and the lost property procedure followed.
