Job summary

Qatar Airways is seeking a tax professional in Doha to manage compliance for direct and indirect taxes across its international operations. You will coordinate with stations and stakeholders to ensure timely tax filings and optimise tax positions globally.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years in tax, experience in accounting/finance, and familiarity with ERP systems. Strong analytical and confidentiality skills are essential in a fast-paced airline environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal tax including direct and indirect tax.
• Experience in Big4 or large corporate with international tax exposure.
• User level experience in ERP or accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal delivery of compliance obligations (both direct and indirect taxes) at destination countries where QR operates by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders at the respective Station.
• Ensure payment of tax liabilities by deadlines through advance planning and liaison with stakeholders at the Station.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar tax regulations including withholding tax treatment and related obligations.
• Assist in advising Finance Management on tax planning measures through analysis of contemporary changes in tax regulations.
• Research tax laws and practices in relevant jurisdictions and propose methods to optimise QR Group tax exposure.
