Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent required.
• Minimum 4 years of job-related experience.
• Experience in retail (travel retail preferred) and/or food & beverage and/or audit background.
• Proven experience in developing, implementing and reviewing policies and procedures.
• Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
• Ability in drafting of policies and procedures.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain professionalism.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications. Command of English language.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures with cross-functional teams to tailor to Qatar Duty Free’s environment.
• Handle compliance monitoring and reporting with regular assessments and audits, ensuring timely reporting to management.
• Facilitate risk assessment and mitigation by identifying, assessing and prioritizing compliance and operational risks and developing action plans.
• Support audits by liaising with internal, external and state auditors and stakeholders for required information.
• Facilitate trainings and awareness programs to promote a culture of compliance and ethics.
• Investigations and remediation by leading or supporting investigations and recommending corrective actions.
• Promote internal controls enhancements to strengthen risk management and efficiency.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry trends and advise on impacts.
• Engage stakeholders to exchange best practices and watch for emerging developments.
• Drive continuous improvement in compliance through process optimization and innovation.
• Perform other department duties as directed by Head of Department.
