Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering is seeking a skilled machinist for a full-time role in Doha. You will manufacture and modify components, interpret blueprints, and ensure tight tolerances using precision tools. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, plus a machinist apprenticeship or equivalent training, with proven experience in machining and reading technical drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• Proven experience as a machinist, preferably in a maintenance environment.
• Strong knowledge of machining principles, techniques, and tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with good communication skills.

Madre Integrated Engineering | Full time

• Manufacture new parts and modify existing components according to blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions using various machine tools.
  
• Perform machining operations to restore components to their proper working condition.
  
• Accurately interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to understand specifications and tolerances.
  
• Select appropriate materials based on application requirements and material properties.
  
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, dial indicators) to ensure parts meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
  
• Perform routine maintenance on assigned machine tools, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while operating machinery and handling materials. Identify and report any unsafe conditions.
  
• Work effectively with maintenance technicians, engineers, and other departments to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
  
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any modifications made.
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized machinist apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training is highly preferred.
