First & Last Mile Rail Mobility Planner

Job summary

ewi is seeking an experienced Service Planning Expert to develop and improve first and last mile transport solutions connecting passengers to rail stations in Qatar. You will focus on accessibility and seamless multimodal connections to metro, tram and commuter rail networks.

The role requires a strong background in public transport planning, with stakeholder engagement and experience in preparing tender documents and cost analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Transport Planning, Town/City Planning or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years' relevant experience.
• Proven experience planning and implementing first and last mile transport solutions.
• Strong knowledge of public transport planning, including rail.
• Specialist knowledge in at least one area of first and last mile mobility.
• Understanding of CAPEX and OPEX.
• Strong report writing, coordination and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop mobility and service plans to improve access to rail stations.
• Review existing first and last mile services and recommend improvements.
• Assess station catchment areas and identify suitable transport solutions.
• Prepare tender and procurement documents for new services.
• Produce concept studies, passenger analysis, cost-benefit analysis and implementation reports.
• Review and coordinate plans produced by transport operators.
• Work with internal teams, transport authorities, municipalities and service providers.
• Support public engagement activities relating to new transport solutions.
