Job summary

ewi is seeking an experienced Service Planning Expert to develop and improve first and last mile transport solutions connecting passengers to rail stations in Qatar. You will focus on accessibility and seamless multimodal connections to metro, tram and commuter rail networks.

The role requires a strong background in public transport planning, with stakeholder engagement and experience in preparing tender documents and cost analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Transport Planning, Town/City Planning or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years' relevant experience.
• Proven experience planning and implementing first and last mile transport solutions.
• Strong knowledge of public transport planning, including rail.
• Specialist knowledge in at least one area of first and last mile mobility.
• Understanding of CAPEX and OPEX.
• Strong report writing, coordination and stakeholder-management skills.

Essential Requirements

Desirable

• Master's degree in Transport Planning, Town/City Planning or Civil Engineering.
• Experience using simulation models for rail or other public transport systems.

The Person We're Looking For

The successful candidate will be proactive, organised and comfortable managing several priorities at once. They must be able to communicate clearly with operators, technical teams and public authorities, while producing accurate and practical service plans.

Please note: candidates must have direct first and last mile planning experience. General rail, civil engineering or transport experience without this specialism will not be sufficient
