Job summary

EY's MENA Finance – FP&A Lead/Manager role seeks an experienced finance professional to lead P&L analysis and deliver best-in-class reporting and analytics. The role emphasizes developing financial models, providing strategic insights, and driving Service Line initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead a team of FP&A analysts, oversee weekly and monthly performance reporting, and ensure accuracy across reporting cycles while partnering with the Operations Lead on root cause analysis

Qualifications

• Finance-related degree from a reputable university.
• Minimum of 8 years or more of relevant finance department experience.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with ownership.
• Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Willing to constructively challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of FP&A analysts, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.

• Lead development of financial models across multiple scenarios to assess business levers.
• Cultivate strong working relationships with the Finance team and SL leadership.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for financial data relating to the Service Line.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and information gathering within FP&A.
• Support ad-hoc requests from Finance and SL leadership.

The opportunity

As EY rolls out All In across its firms, Financial Planning & Analysis plays an increasingly critical role in safeguarding and enhancing profitability while delivering strategic insight. This role will be instrumental in enabling the supported Service Line to achieve these objectives.

This role calls for an experienced finance professional capable of leading comprehensive P&L analysis. The successful candidate will establish best-in‑class support, functional expertise and reporting solutions, with a particular focus on analytics, financial modelling and Service Line initiatives.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of FP&A analysts, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all deliverables
• Oversee the production of weekly and monthly reports on business performance
• Own and manage the P&L, ensuring accuracy and accountability across reporting cycles
• Drive Actual vs. Plan tracking on KPIs, identifying and explaining variances with actionable insight
• Lead the delivery of financial analytics and insights that inform and shape key business decisions
• Partner with the Operations Lead on root cause analysis of variances, identifying and recommending solutions to resolve issues
• Lead the development of financial models across multiple scenarios to assess the impact of shifting business levers
• Cultivate strong, effective working relationships with the extended Finance team and SL leadership
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all financial data relating to the supported Service Line
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and information‑gathering activities within the FP&A function
• Support ad‑hoc requests from the Finance team and SL leadership

Qualifications & experience to qualify

• Have a finance‑related degree from a reputable university.
• A minimum of 8 years or more of relevant finance department experience.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment, with a strong work ethic and sense of ownership
• Able to build strong relationships and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the firm
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• The ability to be innovative, confident, and creative, and willing to constructively challenge the status quo

Ideally, you’ll also have

• A completed or in‑progress professional accountancy qualification
• Experience supporting a professional services organization or a complex, matrixed business
• Experience leading automation or reporting transformation initiatives using Excel, AI‑enabled tools or other digital solutions
