Qualifications

• Proven experience as Executive Chef in a 5 star hotel or similar setting.
• Expertise in culinary, baking & pastry preparation.
• Ability to create unique menu options based on customer preferences.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Leadership qualities with an aptitude for motivating staff members.
• Willingness to travel occasionally when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen operations including meal planning, food preparation, food storage, sanitation standards, and staff management
• Develop creative menus that reflect current trends in cuisine
• Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and up to health and safety standards
• Monitor waste levels, portion control, and cost management
• Train kitchen staff on proper food handling techniques
• Monitor quality of dishes served
• Hire and train new kitchen staff when necessary
