Job summary

BriteConsult seeks an Electrical Technician – Protection in Qatar to support maintenance, troubleshooting and commissioning of electrical protection systems at oil and gas facilities. You will work with generators, motors, transformers, MCCs, switchgear and UPS, reading drawings and using testing equipment.

Proficiency in English is essential. Minimum 6 years of relevant experience and a formal electrical trade background are required.

• Secondary education with 2 years of formal electrical trade training or equivalent.

• Hands‑on experience with generators, motors, transformers, MCCs, switchgear, UPS and associated electrical equipment.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, testing and commissioning.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and manuals.
• Good knowledge of electrical testing equipment and safe working practices.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Experience in Oil & Gas facilities/stations will be an advantage.
