Job summary

Snoonu, Qatar’s homegrown Super App, seeks a detail‑oriented Taxonomist to architect and steward our product classification framework. You will help millions of products surface and be recommended to shoppers, bridging information architecture, AI training data, and customer experience.

Your work will design taxonomy structures, enforce governance, and collaborate with catalog, search, and UX teams to ensure data quality and searchability across the live app and backend.

Qualifications

• Experience designing classification systems for large product catalogs.
• Strong data governance, metadata standards, and taxonomy auditing skills.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python).
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain a multi-level product taxonomy aligned with business needs.
• Define attribute schemas, facets, and metadata to improve search and discovery.
• Collaborate with catalog, content ops, and UX teams to ensure data quality.
• Audit taxonomy drift and provide governance across product lines.
• Support AI classification and tagging pipelines with ground truth datasets.
