Job summary

IH in Doha, Qatar seeks an experienced Investment Director / Chief Investment Officer to architect and lead the new investment function. You will define strategy, build a team, govern processes, and manage a diverse product pipeline within a regulated, Shariah-compliant framework.

You will oversee origination, structuring, execution, and exit across private equity, real estate, and strategic investments, reporting to the CEO and engaging with the Investment Committee and Board.

Qualifications

• 13–15 years of progressive experience in investment management or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated builder's track record — leading investment strategies and managing high‑value portfolios.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence expertise.
• Experience structuring investment products and funds with post-investment management.
• MBA/CFA or equivalent qualifications are highly preferred for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design and launch new investment products and funds through all stages.
• Define and lead the firm's overall investment strategy and asset allocation.
• Enhance the governance framework with policies, SOCs, and risk controls.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing investment team.
• Oversee the full deal lifecycle: origination to exit across asset classes.
• Direct post-investment and portfolio management, monitoring performance and risk.
• Ensure compliance with investment policy and regulator requirements.
• Manage relationships with external fund managers, co-investors, and advisors.
