Job summary

Assets Group in Doha seeks a Senior Financial Investment Director to lead the investment strategy, portfolio management, and capital allocation to drive long-term value. The role demands deep expertise in financial markets, asset management, risk management, and regulatory compliance, with strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities to partner with the CEO, CFO, and Board.

You will oversee investment analysis, performance monitoring, and strategic partnerships to maximize returns

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of working experience.
• 15 years in a relevant leadership position.
• 5 years GCC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive investment strategies aligned with corporate financial goals.
• Lead portfolio allocation across asset classes (equities, fixed income, private equity, real estate, alternatives).
• Monitor portfolio performance and rebalance as necessary.
• Identify new investment opportunities (M&A, joint ventures, funds, structured products).
• Ensure diversification and optimal risk-adjusted returns.
• Oversee financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis.
• Lead due diligence for acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments.
• Evaluate market trends, economic indicators, and sector performance.
• Present investment recommendations to executive leadership and/or Board.
• Develop risk management frameworks and stress-testing methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance policies.
• Monitor liquidity, credit, market, and operational risks.
• Coordinate with legal and compliance teams on regulatory filings.
• Optimize capital structure and funding strategies.
• Evaluate financing options including debt issuance, equity financing, and structured capital.
• Manage relationships with banks, institutional investors, and fund managers.
• Oversee treasury and cash management strategies (where applicable).
• Lead and mentor investment analysts and portfolio managers.
• Build relationships with investors, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
• Provide strategic financial insights to CEO, CFO, and Board.
• Represent the organization in investor meetings and industry forums.
