Job summary

Minor Hotels is seeking a Demi Chef at Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara to assist the Executive Chef in preparing appetizers and entrees. You will help with presentation, maintain hygiene, and train new kitchen members.

Strong teamwork and customer service focus are essential to deliver high-quality meals under pressure. The role requires a culinary degree and at least one year of Demi Chef experience in hotel or restaurant settings, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or any culinary degree.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Demi Chef in hotels/restaurants.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong teamwork and customer service commitment.
• Eye for detail to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in preparing appetizers, meats and vegetables for entrees.
• Ensure high quality presentation and timely service to guests.
• Participate in selecting and training new kitchen staff.
• Adhere to health and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and personal hygiene; perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

As Demi Chef you will help the Executive Chef to prepare appetizers, as well as meat and vegetables for entrees. You further will help with the proper presentation of food, and ensure that each customer is served the highest quality food in a timely manner. As Demi Chef you will participate in selecting and training new members of the kitchen team. They must follow and enforce health and safety standards in the kitchen. They should possess a high level of cleanliness, both in the kitchen and in personal hygiene. You should be familiar with working efficiently and quickly under pressure.
