Job summary

KEO Group in Doha, Qatar seeks a talented Contract Engineer to join our team and be seconded to our government-sector client. You will manage technical and contractual aspects of engineering and construction projects, interfacing with project managers, engineers and construction teams to ensure contract requirements are interpreted and implemented throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 10 years in contract management or contract engineering,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in contract management or contract engineering.
• At least 3 years in a Contract Engineer role or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of engineering and construction practices; interpret and manage contract requirements.
• Solid understanding of contract administration, contract law and project management principles.
• Experience with contract management software and tools; ability to manage variations and changes.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and interpreting technical specifications, contract requirements and engineering documentation for compliance.
• Managing and monitoring contract requirements related to engineering activities, specifications, standards and regulations.
• Monitoring project performance, milestones and budget to ensure contractual compliance.
• Coordinating with project managers, engineers and construction teams to embed contract requirements into activities.
• Managing technical and scope changes, variations and amendments, including documentation and communication.
• Preparing and maintaining contract documentation, tender bulletins, negotiations and qualifications.
• Reviewing tender and change request scopes in coordination with technical teams.
• Producing regular contract status, performance and compliance reports for senior management.
• Supporting RFI processes and resolution of non-conformities and contractual issues.
