Job summary

KEO International Consultants in Doha, Qatar, is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our award-winning team. The role focuses on providing electrical engineering support for road and infrastructure projects, ensuring designs and installations meet international standards and client requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years of experience (7+ in infrastructure projects), and proficiency with ETAP/AMTECH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 10 years' total experience, including 7+ years in electrical engineering for roads/highways/infrastructure.
• Experience with infrastructure electrical systems incl. HV/LV, motors, MCCs, control systems.
• Experience in reviewing drawings, calculations, specs and submissions.
• Knowledge of international electrical codes and standards.
• Experience in testing and commissioning of electrical systems is a plus.
• Proficiency with ETAP and AMTECH is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical designs, drawings, specs and contract requirements.
• Provide technical support for electrical systems on roads, utilities, pumping stations and related infra.
• Review power supply systems (HV/LV), motors, MCCs, control systems.
• Coordinate electrical works with civil, mechanical and other disciplines.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings and technical docs.
• Monitor electrical works on site for compliance with drawings and standards.
• Identify issues, design changes and project risks and coordinate solutions.
• Support testing and commissioning activities (FAT/SAT where applicable).
• Maintain communication with client, contractor, consultants and project team on electrical matters.
• Ensure electrical works meet quality, safety and contractual requirements.
