Job summary

IRM Energy & Technology in Qatar seeks an experienced Electrical Construction Lead to provide front-line safety and technical leadership for major installations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and technical standards.

You will review design and project documents, coordinate with Contractors, and monitor schedule, risk and progress. Requires a Bachelor's in Science or Engineering, 8 years in Oil & Gas large-project construction, and at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering required.
• 8 years of Oil & Gas large-project construction experience.
• 1 year in a supervisory/oversight role.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible safety leadership and promote a safety-first culture.
• Review and comment on Electrical technical and project documents.
• Ensure compliance with Company and contractual policies, regulations, and standards.
• Engage Contractors on schedule, technical, cost, and contractual matters.
• Maintain effective communication with Contractor and Company functional teams.
• Participate in planning and risk assessment meetings; support schedule mitigation.
• Ensure Contractor maintains safety standards through daily/weekly site walk-throughs.
• Attend workface planning, safety meetings, and toolbox talks.
• Monitor schedule compliance, construction constraints, and mitigation actions.
• Review Contractor daily, weekly, and monthly reports and verify progress.

• Knowledge of execution methods and risks for sour gas and LNG facilities.
• Experience in large-scale Operations, Projects, or Subsurface organizations.
