Job summary

IRM Energy & Technology in Qatar seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent (Offshore HUC) to represent the company on offshore brownfields projects, oversee hook-up, commissioning, and shutdown activities, and ensure safety, quality, and integrity standards are met.

You will supervise contractors, review deliverables for constructability, monitor progress, and coordinate safety procedures to deliver efficient offshore execution and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience with offshore construction, brownfield, hook-up, commissioning environments.
• Supervisory or leadership exposure over contractors and vendor personnel.
• Knowledge of offshore safety, quality, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure offshore safety and quality compliance.
• Lead brownfield, shutdown, hook-up, and commissioning activities.
• Supervise contractor execution, mechanical completion, and commissioning.
• Review engineering deliverables for constructability and compliance.
• Monitor contractor progress, reporting, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate PTW activities and ensure method statements and JSAs.
• Conduct marine safety tours and promote safety culture.
• Capture lessons learned and participate in RECs.

Role of Company site representative and Lead offshore brownfields, shutdown & Hook up by representating the COMPANY, ensuring compliance with Safety, quality, integrity and project objectives. Coordinate with OESS & Operation and Contractors to drive efficient Brownfields and Hook up execution & Commissioning and deliver operational excellence during offshore execution phase.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with offshore safety and quality requirements.
• Manage brownfield, shutdown, hook-up, and commissioning activities.
• Supervise contractors’ execution, mechanical completion, and commissioning.
• Review engineering deliverables for constructability and technical compliance.
• Monitor contractor progress, reporting, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate PTW activities and ensure compliance with approved method statements and JSAs.
• Ensure marine safety compliance and conduct safety tours.
• Promote safety culture and close assigned safety actions?
• Participate in lessons learned and REX reviews.

Qualifications:

• HND in Mechanical or Instrumentation.
• 8 years’ Oil & Gas construction experience on large projects.
• 1 year in an offshore Company Site Representative Lead role or supervising service/vendor personnel.

Skills and Competencies

• Oil & Gas operator, contractor, or offshore construction experience.
• Knowledge of offshore fabrication, installation, brownfield, hook-up, commissioning, and safety standards.
• Understanding of offshore facilities, sour gas, and LNG operations.
• Experience in large-scale Operations, Projects, or Subsurface organizations.
