Job summary

IRM Energy & Technology Qatar is seeking a senior professional to oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of complex fabrication activities from yard operations through load-out in Qatar. You will ensure design constructability, adherence to engineering standards, and fabrication requirements while coordinating with company and contractor teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10 years Oil & Gas construction experience, including 2 years supervising.
• Knowledge of fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing, and completions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, preparation, and execution of fabrication activities from yard to load-out, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule targets.
• Supervise contractor activities for topsides fabrication and mechanical completion.
• Verify engineering deliverables for constructability and technical compliance.
• Review standards deviations and ensure complete project documentation.
• Monitor progress and quality, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate fabrication, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
• Lead risk assessments, pre-job meetings, and technical reviews.
• Implement and document project lessons learned.

Oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of Compression Platform Complex fabrication activities from yard operations through load-out, ensuring project objectives are met and design constructability, engineering standards, and fabrication requirements are maintained through effective coordination with company and contractor teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with fabrication safety requirements.
• Manage fabrication activities to meet safety, quality, and schedule targets.
• Supervise contractor activities for topsides fabrication and mechanical completion.
• Verify engineering deliverables for constructability and technical compliance.
• Review standards deviations and ensure complete project documentation.
• Monitor progress and quality, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Review progress reports and address delays and performance gaps.
• Coordinate fabrication, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
• Lead risk assessments, pre-job meetings, and technical reviews.
• Implement and document project lessons learned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10 years' Oil & Gas construction experience, including 2 years in supervision.
• Knowledge of fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing, and completions.
• Experience with Oil & Gas operators, contractors, or heavy construction companies.

Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of design codes, standards, and safety requirements for fabrication, transport, installation, and hook-up.
• Knowledge of offshore/onshore facilities, structures, and yard operations.
• Understanding of execution methods and risks for sour gas and LNG facilities.
• Experience in large-scale operations or project organizations.
