Job summary

Centro Capital Doha by Rotana in Qatar is seeking a Commis II to support daily food preparation in the main kitchen and satellite stations. You will work under the Chef de Partie and adhere to menu specifications while maintaining clean, hygienic work areas.

Assist in controlling food stock and costs, prepare mis-en-place, and stay updated on new products and techniques. You will collaborate with other sections to ensure high standards and consistent quality across all dishes for guest

Qualifications

• Daily food preparation responsibilities as part of the main kitchen or satellite stations.
• Maintain hygienic work area according to hotel rules.
• Support senior chefs and follow menu specifications.
• Monitor stock levels and food cost within your section.
• Keep up-to-date with new products, recipes and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support the Demi Chef de Partie or Commis I in daily operation.
• Work according to the menu specifications by the Chef de Partie.
• Keep work area hygienic according to hotel rules.
• Control food stock and food cost in his section.
• Prepare daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or satellites.
• Follow instructions from superiors to complete daily tasks.
• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in daily preparation.
• Coordinate with other sections on requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control.

This position is based at Centro Capital Doha by Rotana in Qatar.

As a Commis II you are responsible for the daily food preparation and duties assigned to meet the set standard and qualities whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:

• Support the Demi Chef de Partie or Commis I in the daily operation and work
• Work according to the menu specifications by the Chef de Partie
• Keep work area at all times in hygienic conditions according to the rules set by the hotel
• Control food stock and food cost in his section
• Prepare the daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or satellites
• Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate Superiors to complete the daily tasks
• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques
• Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control
