Job summary

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts EMEA is seeking a Commis I – Cold Kitchen to support the Cold Kitchen team in preparing salads, cold appetizers, sandwiches, canapés, dressings, and other cold items to the hotel’s standards.

The role emphasizes maintaining high quality, hygiene, organization, and efficient service, following recipes and HACCP guidelines while working as part of a busy culinary team.

Qualifications

• Culinary qualification or relevant food production training.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, HACCP principles, and safe food handling.
• Basic English communication skills to understand instructions and communicate with supervisors.
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding kitchen environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, early mornings and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cold kitchen prep, mise en place, and display of salads, canapés, dressings, and other cold items.
• Follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
• Maintain hygiene and food safety throughout all stages of preparation and service.
• Support the Cold Kitchen team during peak service and events.
• Coordinate with chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
