Job summary

Capacity trading and contracting in Doha, Qatar, seeks an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to lead the startup and commissioning of Siemens Desigo systems. You will configure, program and troubleshoot field devices and software, verify control sequences, and ensure operations align with project specifications.

Requires 3–5 years in BMS commissioning, strong Siemens product experience, and ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in BMS commissioning and controls systems.
• Hands-on Siemens BMS product experience required.
• Experience with BACnet and Modbus communications.
• Ability to read control drawings and sequences of operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning testing and startup of BMS systems as per project specs.
• Configure, program and troubleshoot Siemens BMS controllers and field devices.
• Verify control sequences and ensure proper system operation.
• Conduct point-to-point testing and functional performance checks.
• Coordinate with PMs, consultants, subcontractors and clients during commissioning.
• Diagnose hardware/software communication and network issues.
• Prepare commissioning reports and handover docs.
• Support site installation teams and provide technical guidance.
• Attend client meetings and provide technical support during project execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and project requirements.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning testing and startup of BMS systems
• Configure program and troubleshoot Siemens BMS controllers field devices and software
• Verify control sequences and ensure systems operate according to project specifications
• Conduct point-to-point testing and functional performance testing
• Coordinate with project managers consultants subcontractors and clients during commissioning activities
• Diagnose and resolve hardware software communication and network-related issues
• Prepare commissioning reports test records and handover documentation
• Support site installation teams and provide technical guidance when required
• Attend client meetings and provide technical support during project execution
• Ensure compliance with project requirements safety regulations and quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related field.
• Minimum3–5 years of experiencein BMS commissioning and controls systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens BMS products, including:
• Siemens Desigo CC
• Siemens Desigo PX Controllers
• Siemens PXC Series Controllers
• Siemens Building Automation Systems
• BACnet and Modbus communication protocols
• Experience in HVAC control systems, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, and energy management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, and sequence of operation documents.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Valid Qatar Driving License is preferred.
